CPF has been part of the $70 million Blue Economy Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) since 2019.
The Blue Economy CRC brings together national and international expertise in aquaculture, marine renewable energy and marine engineering as part of a collaborative effort between industry, researchers and the community to develop innovative and sustainable offshore industries to increase Australian seafood and marine renewable energy production.
CPF's Associate Professor Pedro Fidelman leads on policy and regulatory development - ensuring the arrangements were fit-for-purpose and used policy innovation to create the necessary conditions to support an integrated offshore blue economy.
