We are committed to building capabilities in policy studies and strengthening the next generation of policy‑minded thinkers. We work to grow a pipeline of individuals equipped with the skills and confidence to translate research into policy impact.
We offer a range of opportunities for academics and Higher Degree Research students to deepen the relevance of their work and develop as emerging ‘policy entrepreneurs’. Our Getting Research into Practice Workshop, open to internal and external researchers and students, provides a comprehensive overview of the policy landscape. The training is delivered free of charge. Internships with ongoing mentoring with our researchers and affiliates are also available to UQ students.
Together, these activities help foster a vibrant community of scholars and practitioners who are ready to bring evidence into action and shape policy for the public good.
