Israel Pedro Dias Ribeiro is a PhD Scholar at the State University of Santa Cruz (UESC, Brazil), currently undertaking a doctoral internship at the Centre for Policy Futures (UQ). Holding a Master’s degree in Development and Environment and a Bachelor of Laws, his research focuses on the intersection of environmental governance, public policy, and sustainability. Israel’s work employs an interdisciplinary approach to analyze how Payment for Environmental Services (PES) can serve as a strategic tool for climate adaptation and mitigation in regional ecosystems.
