Kim provides strategic support for research development by identifying opportunities and coordinating submission of tenders and funding applications with the Centre's academics. To enhance the Centre’s research portfolio, performance and reputation, Kim also leads the communications and digital engagement strategy, spanning web, social and CRM platforms, and manages external-facing research events.

From 2022-2024, Kim coordinated the NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence in Better Health Outcomes for Compensable Injury at UQ's RECOVER Injury Research Centre. From 2015-2021, as Marketing and Engagement Coordinator at QUT's Centre for Accident Research & Road Safety - QLD (CARRS-Q), Kim led the delivery of its comprehensive advocacy program.
