Dr Pedram Rashidi is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Policy Futures, where he is developing a responsible innovation framework for quantum biotechnology in association with QUBIC, an ARC Centre of Excellence.

With an M.Sc. in physics, extensive work experience in industry, and a PhD in the political science, Pedram’s scholarship concerns science and technology policy and global environmental governance. His research on the politics of knowledge production within international institutions has appeared in The Review of International Studies and Globalization. In teams with Indigenous and non-Indigenous colleagues, he has co-authored influential reports concerning the participation of First Nations people in environmental governance and STEM education. 

In addition to his research work, Pedram enjoys teaching the politics of environmental change and development to the undergraduate and postgraduate students at the University of Queensland.
