Researcher biography

Francisca is a Research Fellow in the Centre for Policy Futures and works for the Research Office of The Queensland Commitment. She is a PhD candidate, and her research areas include educational policies and educational inequalities. Francisca is interested in understanding the repercussions of market-oriented educational policies on different actors' understanding of their roles in society, as well as the challenges associated with the implementation of inclusion policies in the educational space. As a sociologist with training in economics, she approaches these topics from an interdisciplinary perspective.

Francisca has experience working in government and universities. In these roles, she has participated in the design, implementation, and evaluation of various policies and reforms at a national scale. Furthermore, she worked as the National Project Manager on different OECD projects, such as PIAAC and TALIS video study
