Researcher biography
Dr Wilson's research focuses on organizational culture. He is particularly interested in applying social science methods and theory to complex social problems, and has pioneered innovative, participatory approaches to policy research and implementation grounded in applied ethnography and anthropological thinking. He has worked with a diverse array of partners and clients including national and regional government agencies, the United Nations, law enforcement agencies, think tanks and NGOs in Australia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Switzerland and the UK.

Dr Wilson is associate advisor of PhD students in the faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences working on issues relevant to environmental and security policy (currently 4 students in POLSIS and the School of Social Sciences) with a particular focus on engagement and impact.
