Vietnam's implementation of the SDG agenda: A perspective from the Ministry of Health, Vietnam

Presented by Dr Oanh Tran

Dr Tran is the Director of the Health Strategy and Policy Institute, Ministry of Health (MoH), Vietnam and a Centre for Policy Futures Visiting Research Fellow.

She holds a Doctor of Medicine from the Hanoi Medical College, a Master of Medical Science in Public Health from the Karolinska Institute (Sweden), and a PhD in Medicine awarded by UQ and the National Institute of Epidemiology and Hygiene, Vietnam. Dr Tran has published extensively in the area of health policy and systems research. She has much experience and extensive networks in Vietnam, regionally and worldwide in the area of health policy analysis and policy advocacy, as well as excellent experience in designing health intervention studies to provide robust evidence for policy development.

Dr Tran is currently a member of the Universal Health Coverage Technical Advisory Group at the World Health Organization’s Regional Office for the Western Pacific (WPRO).
