Registrations are now open for the Sustainability Research and Innovation Congress, being held in Brisbane on 29 June – 1 July 2022.

Sustainability leaders, researchers, experts, industry and innovators from Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific are invited to share their knowledge on sustainability challenges and opportunities in the Oceania region as part of a major international sustainability event.

Session themes include:

  • Bringing together Western and Indigenous Knowledges;

  • Adaptable urban environments for human wellbeing and environmental sustainability;

  • Advancing justice in conservation and sustainability research, policy, and practice;

  • Synthetic Biology’s critical role in the future of sustainability and climate action;

  • Zero Carbon Imaginaries: Imagining a transformed Australian energy system;

  • Navigating towards a just future for a human-assisted Great Barrier Reef

Coordinated by Future Earth Australia, this event is a satellite event of the Sustainability Research & Innovation Congress 2022 (SRI2022) that will be happening online and in Pretoria, South Africa on 20-24 June, 2022. All participants of the SRI2022 Oceania Satellite Event will also have full access to the online portion of the SRI2022 Congress, and the cost of this is included in their registration.
